The weekend may be over but our dance moves have carried over into the weekday. We’re starting our Monday out with The Lonely Island and their song “The Creep” featuring Nicki Minaj. You heard us correctly, we’re starting out with those SNL digital short guys, you know, the ones who gave us Emmy-winning Jizz in my Pants, hilarious digital short Jack Sparrow and Grammy-nominated I’m on a Boat. What’s amazing about “The Creep” though is that for a song about being creepy Ms. Minaj is oddly normal looking, for once.
Close to normal, right?
Anyway the song got stuck in our heads last Friday and after doing some of the dance moves here at Stitely we thought we should share along with everyone else. Check out their video! It has everything you ever wanted in a music video about creeps; John Waters, pencil mustaches, pants that show too much ankle and the socks underneath, babies with giant glasses and suits, and let’s not forget those big eyes The Lonely Island guys have.
The video has over 67 million views already and the Lonely Island guys might as well own YouTube with how many views they have of all their videos combined, in fact they were one of the first groups to really get famous from viral videos on YouTube. So get t-rexing and do the creep, you got to try it at least once!
