This April was the 38th Annual International Whistlers Convention (IWC) in Louisburg, North Carolina (the world’s whistling capital). Each year, after lots of practice and precise song selection, whistlers from around the world come together to compete for the title of Grand Whistling Champion!
Below is a video from theĀ 2011 convention posted by the New York Times. The clip features two New York whistlers competing for the grand prize at the 2011 International Whistlers Convention.
Eric, a Stitely office whistler, decided to compete against some of the worlds best whistlers. He prepared a classical, contemporary, and pop piece to perform.
Vote below for who you feel should win the title as Grand Whistling Champion! Do you think Eric has what it takes or does Luke “The Throat Whistler” Jansen take the cake?
