Official Opinions: Broken Bells Bring Bliss

Let’s start the week off with some chill out music. the Stitely crew started the week off right with this indie rock groove tune from Broken Bells called “The High Road.” This band is a side project consisting of the lead singer of The Shins, James Mercer and Brian Burton (widely known as Danger Mouse) who covers synthesizer, drums and production of the group.

This song combines the best of both worlds by bringing in Mercer’s strong flowing and melancholy vocals to the upbeat and crisp wonder of Danger Mouse’s synthesized sounds and steady drums. It’s a perfect song to relax to and clear away all the thoughts that may be causing you worry.

With that in mind, at Stitely we’re not really sure where these two are heading in their music video, but they seem fine with walking around at night on a very busy road in the desert.
