official opinions: A newschool oldschool music monday

This week, event planning intern and Northwestern student Aaron got to choose the Stitely music selection!  He picked a tune that was feature on the soundtrack of a short film entitled “Six Shooter” which was directed by Irish playwright Martin McDonagh.  The song is actually an old American folksong called “St. James Infirmary Blues” and has been sung by such greats as Arlo Guthrie and Louis Armstrong.

The lyrics change each time the song is covered by a different artist, and The White Stripes created a funky new version of the old classic.
