Official Opinions: Stitely goes South by Southwest

Last month I had the pleasure of heading down to Texas for South by Southwest, the incredible set of music, film and arts festivals held in Austin each year since 1987. (Fun fact – Twitter launched at SXSW in 2007!) This was my first time at SXSW and it was a blast. The entire city of Austin was packed with a wild variety of people, all enjoying being immersed in every possible genre of music – really an amazing vibe. There was literally something for everyone, from big names across genres (Hole, Jakob Dylan and Cheap Trick to name a few) to a myriad of “unofficial” smaller shows at venues all around the city of Austin.

One of my favorite moments from the weekend was San Antonio based band Buttercup (who were incredible SXSW hosts…thanks guys!) making some new fans – starting ‘em young! This little lady (rocking some awesome cowboy boots) was mesmerized – it’s amazing the effect even the simplest live music has! The music really does matter!

(A big thanks to Andrea Mcmurray and Rose Baca for the video!)
